🧠 Are We Slowly Forgetting How to Think Because of AI? πŸ€–

Be honest for a second.

When was the last time you struggled with a problem before asking ChatGPT?

A difficult assignment? β†’ Ask AI.
A coding error? β†’ Ask AI.
An email to write? β†’ Ask AI.
An idea for a project? β†’ Ask AI.
Even a simple decision? β†’ Ask AI. πŸ˜…

And just like that, something interesting is happening.

We're getting answers faster, but are we actually learning more? πŸ€”

Don't get me wrong.

AI is incredible. It can save hours of work, explain complicated concepts and help us accomplish things that once seemed impossible.

But there's a difference between using AI to improve your thinking and letting AI think for you.

Think about a student learning programming. πŸ’»

❌ Approach 1:
Ask AI to write the entire code β†’ Copy β†’ Paste β†’ Done.

βœ… Approach 2:
Try solving it yourself β†’ Get stuck β†’ Ask AI for hints β†’ Understand the solution β†’ Build it yourself.

Both might produce the same working project.

But only one guarantees that you've actually tried to develop your own understanding.

And this goes beyond coding.

When we constantly outsource writing, reasoning, creativity and problem-solving, we risk becoming dependent on tools we don't fully understand.

πŸ’‘ Here's a simple challenge:

Next time you face a problem:

1️⃣ Think for 5 minutes before opening AI.

2️⃣ Write down your own approach.

3️⃣ Use AI to challenge or improve your reasoning.

4️⃣ Verify the answer instead of blindly accepting it.

5️⃣ Make the final decision yourself.

Because the real danger isn't that AI becomes smarter than us.

It's that we stop challenging ourselves to think.

AI should be our thinking partner, not our thinking replacement. πŸ§ πŸ€πŸ€–

πŸ’¬ What do you think? Is AI making us smarter, or just making us more dependent?
