⚡ Git and GitHub are NOT the same thing.

They’re often mentioned together, so it’s easy to think they’re basically identical.

But there’s an important difference. 👇

🧠 Git = Version Control

Git runs on your computer and keeps track of changes in your code.

Made a mistake?
Changed something important?
Want to see what your project looked like yesterday?

Git has your back. 🔄

☁️ GitHub = Collaboration + Cloud

GitHub gives your Git repositories a home online.

It lets you:

🔹 Store projects remotely
🔹 Collaborate with other developers
🔹 Review code
🔹 Manage issues
🔹 Contribute to open-source projects
🔹 Showcase your work

Think of it this way:

💻 Git → manages the history of your code

🌐 GitHub → helps you share and collaborate around that code

And that's why you can actually use Git without GitHub.

Once this difference clicks, commands like:

`git add` → `git commit` → `git push`

start making a lot more sense.

Small concept.

Big step toward understanding how real software development works. 🚀
