Most SEOs check for missing titles or broken links. Far fewer check something simpler that can quietly hold pages back:
Open your site and look at the internal links.
If any of them carry a “nofollow” attribute, remove it.
You’re essentially telling Google to ignore paths you yourself created between your own pages. Clearing those tags costs almost nothing and often helps important content get crawled and valued more consistently.
It’s one of those small technical details that still slips through even on well-maintained sites.
