Sfeerze wallet + escrow

Sfeerze escrow. Wallet first. Hire second. Release on approval.

Top up the USD wallet. Post a job only when that budget is already in the wallet. Hire an applicant only when the agreed amount is in the wallet. On hire, the amount moves to escrow. On approval, it is released to the hired expert.

Stripe · Cloudflare · Clients pay 0%

Same wallet also pays for Sfeerze expert calls. Jobs and calls are different products. Escrow is for Marketplace hires.

Wallet and card on a desk

Available

$800

In escrow

$200

No balance, no brief. No balance, no hire.

If a client tops up $1,000, they can post a job only when the job budget fits that wallet. Applicants can message. Hiring still requires the amount the client is willing to pay that applicant to be sitting in the wallet. On hire, that amount is cut from the wallet and held in escrow.

How Sfeerze escrow moves

Step 1 of 6

Add funds

Top up the USD in-app wallet. Add a card for calls and hires. Example: a $1,000 top-up.

Available wallet is not escrow

Worked example

  • Client tops up $1,000.
  • Posts a $200 brief (allowed: $1,000 is enough).
  • Hires at $200.
  • Wallet available becomes $800.
  • Escrow holds $200.
  • Client approves.
  • Expert receives $160 after the 20% Sfeerze fee.
  • Client still paid $200 — not $200 plus a buyer fee.
  • Expert payout to Stripe: about 7–8 days after release.

Revisions only if you set them on the brief

On Post a job the client can allow revisions and set how many. That number is part of the brief.

If revisions were set

The hired person is obligated to provide up to that number.

If revisions were not set

The hired person is not obligated to provide revisions.

Set this before you hire. You cannot add a revision obligation after the fact if it was not on the original job.

Milestones each have their own price

Turn on Milestones to split budget and days across steps (max 90 days). Each step has its own price. Each step’s funds release when that step is approved.

  • The client still needs wallet funds to hire / fund the step
  • On hire of that step, that step’s amount goes to escrow
  • On approval of that step, that amount is released
  • About 7–8 days still apply before the hired person sees it in Stripe
  • 20% expert fee still comes out of each released payout
  • Clients still pay 0% to Sfeerze

Conflict resolution

If the hired person has done the job and the client is not satisfied or is not releasing payment, either side can open a support ticket. Sfeerze support looks at the situation and resolves it.
